Edward Long gives diversity in culture, music and entertainment a new meaning. The Atlanta, Georgia native is equipped with an alluring personality and a 'crunk in your system' personality. He is a true entertainment prodigy, whose multi-dimensional talents surfaced while broadcasting his high school sports show. As a seasoned rookie in the entertainment world, he is soaring to lofty heights at a young age. He encompasses the unique tools that are necessary to fill the void in the industry in which he is matriculating. Without a doubt, Edward is a skillful on-air personality, eye-catching entertainer, inspirational speaker and savvy businessman.
Edward Long is very active as an inspirational speaker, artist, host and moderator for events and conferences. He is frequently invited by schools, churches and concert promoters to host concerts and motivate youth at their respective venues. In 2006 alone, he has made guest appearances as an artist, moderator and panelist at the Black College Expo, 100 Black Men of America 20th Annual Conference, MegaFest, and host of this year’s Re-Present Youth Conference at New Birth in Lithonia, GA—one of the largest youth conferences in the United States. He is also featured in Rainforest Films release of Steppin’ and Tyler Perry’s, Daddy’s Little Girls.
As the artist, Edward Long has done musical collaborations with notable mainstream and gospel performers, as well as opened shows for Big Duke of Boyz N Da Hood, Shawn Jay of Field Mob, T-Pain, Thrill Da Playa, 112, Jagged Edge, Canton Jones, Block, Demetrus, Michelle Williams, Johnny Gill, Baby D, Master P and Kirk Franklin. This A-Town son of ‘crunk’ has hosted concerts for the hottest names in Hip Hop, including: Ludacris, Chingy, Lil Jon, G-Unit, T.I., and Lil Scrappy. As a performer, He has thrilled audiences throughout the South and Midwest. A regular crowd pleaser, he has performed in shows in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Washington, Florida and Alabama.
Giving back to the community is important to Edward. Whenever his schedule permits, he devotes his time to young men who have the desire to help themselves. He has been active with FAMU’s Black Men’s College Exploratory Program. More recently, he enjoys speaking to students at his high school alma mater, Stephenson High School; and is very active with the Long Fellows, a mentoring program developed by his father, designed to promote a positive lifestyle change educationally, physically and spiritually. He admits that without the mentors that were involved in his life, he would not be the man that he has become.
A true entertainer at all times, Edward continues to venture into other arenas of the entertainment industry, as well as furthering his acting career. But in the meantime, hustling and struggling to hone his talents is what continues to drive this Georgia boy…Stay tuned.
